Benjamin W. Ghiano

Ben joined GTB Partners in 2022 after serving the previous five years in various capacities in both the executive and legislative branches of state government, and in leadership roles for several Democratic election campaigns.

Most recently, Ben served as Chief of Staff to Assemblyman Robert Karabinchak, Chair of the Infrastructure & Natural Resources Committee where he was responsible for managing the Assemblyman’s legislative portfolio which included bills establishing a utility-scale solar program, addressing New Jersey’s lead crisis, and promoting electric vehicle charging infrastructure. Prior to his role with Assemblyman Karabinchak, Ben was a Legislative Aide to Governor Phil Murphy from 2018 to 2020. While in this capacity, he was the legislative point of contact for multiple departments and agencies including the Office of Information Technology, Motor Vehicles Commission, Department of Labor, Department of Military & Veterans Affairs, and Department of Agriculture. He advanced several legislative and budget initiatives on behalf of the various agencies including expanded military and veterans property tax benefits and STEM workforce development programs. Ben was also a member of the Murphy Administration Transition Team and Murphy for Governor Campaign in 2017.

Ben completed his undergraduate studies in Chemistry at the College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, Massachusetts, and holds a Master of Science degree in Sustainability Management from Columbia University in New York City.
